Bringing peace of mind to families with loved ones

that have disabilities or special needs.

SSI VS. SSDI

SSI

According the the Social Security Administration, SSI benefits are cash assistance Social Security Insurance benefits which are paid to older persons (over 65 years old), blind and disabled persons (including children) who have limited income and resources. These benefits are funded by the Federal Government from general tax revenues.

SSDI

Alternatively, SSDI benefits are Social Security Insurance benefits which are paid to disabled or blind workers who have paid in to Social Security through their paycheck contributions and are based on contributions by the earner. FYI,  dependents might also be entitled to benefits from the earner's reported contributions..
