Suspensions/Expulsions/Manifestation Determination Reviews

Additional Information

A student may not be suspended or be recommended for expulsion unless the superintendent or principal of the student's school has determined that the student has violated at least one rule on an enumerated list as identified in the district's code of conduct.

There are procedures that the school and district must follow for both suspension and expulsion.  Key things to look for when addressing a student's suspension or expulsion is if the student has a disability that may have played a role in the conduct leading to the current situation or are there language issues/barriers that lead to the alleged conduct
